 Technical plating

Do you want complete or in part:

  • Printed circuit boards
  • Electrical contacts
  • Electronic components
  • Plug contacts
  • Mechanical components
  • Parts subject to wear
  • Corrosion protection
  • Improvement of soldering and welding properties
  • Avoid nickel
  • Oligodynamic effect (bactericidal)
  • Quality assurance using layer thickness measuring device (x-ray)

or do you merely want specialist advice?

High-tech equipment and components are barely conceivable without precious metals. Smaller mobile phones, smaller computers, more power in less space. Ögussa commercial plating's mission and commitment is to achieve the highest quality combined with sparing use of resources. The comprehensive work spectrum covers purely technical applications as well as classical decorative coatings. This area has been developed intensively over the last few years.

The finishing of components generally comes at the end of the production chain. Because of this, problems frequently arise which could easily have been prevented with a structure "suitable for plating". Is the component suitable for a drum or has it been developed as rack goods?

Drum goods, especially small and very small parts, can be coated very economically because the goods carrier need not be fitted with threading wires or pins.

Not every geometry is suitable for this type of manufacture; in this case contact zones can be provided in defined areas which allow quick and economical fitting. Holes and internal threads are especially suitable for ensuring process safety during the desired bath sequence. The bath sequence is obtained from the desired layer structure .

 Production sequence using silver plating:

Ultrasound cleaning, degreasing, rinsing, pickling, rinsing, pre-silver  plating, main silver, sparing rinsing, fresh rinsing, dryingg

At porous soldered joints between hollow bodies there is the risk of penetration from the degreasing bath and then the electrolyte. The sensitive high-performance electrolyte can be destroyed. Liquid generally diffuses through these pores a long time after the plating and becomes noticeable as a result of unsightly spot formation (sweating)

Only the correct combination of basic material and precious metal coating yields the perfect result. The aim is to considerably improve the material properties - corrosion resistance, electrical contact resistance, conductivity and solderability.

This is just a short extract from the mission and scope of precious metal plating. Our exceptionally well-trained staff is continuously at your disposal for your special application.
