3.5 Arc Welding

The arc welding of copper with copper electrodes is of little importance, since an additional heating is necessary due to the large thermal conductivity of copper. Only small parts or short seams can be welded. In place of copper electrodes, bronze electrodes can be used, which require a low preheating and are suitable for copper steel fillet weld connections.
