2. Basic information on Soft Soldering

In practice, soft soldering of aluminium and aluminium alloys and material combinations of these light metals is comparatively rarely used, apart from a few exceptions.

The reasons for this are that light metals are relatively unsuitable for soft soldering because of their stable oxide skin and the low corrosion resistance of the soft soldered joint.
